Bucharest. A fire broke out Friday at the Arpechim oil refinery in Pitesti, southern Romania, at a cooling tower and 11 fire trucks were rushed to the scene, Romanian Mediafax news agency reports. Local emergency inspectorate spokeswoman Madalina Epure said the fire broke out around 10 a.m. at a 15 meter-high cooling tower, 200 meters away from the refinery's pyrolysis section. She said no one is in danger because the refinery is closed for overhauling.
